Needs to Requirements

It is essential that we engage with a customer to identify their needs, particularly if we are going to produce a product or service for them. If we are not able to understand and provide for their needs, then it will be very unlikely that they will be a customer.

Needs are wants, maybe it is something that a customer is attempting to do but cannot. Or they are not aware of a new way of working and how it might  enhance the efficiency of their business processes.
