Welcome to your Level 4 IT course!

You probably have lots of questions and some uncertainty about what this course will cover and what you will need to do to complete it. The induction process aims to answer as many questions that you may have as possible.
 
There is no such thing as a silly question, so please make sure you make us aware of any questions you have.

Learner Handbook - Level 4

The learner handbook provides you with many pieces of important information, such as the grading and rework policies. Please read the handbook thoroughly to ensure that you understand all of the elements that it details. If you have questions, please contact me.
 

Units and Course structure. 

You can view all of the units that you will be covering by visiting the the Unit Specs page. Here you find detail of what units you will be doing and the relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
 
The course is comprised of two diplomas:

Knowledge

K3 - Diploma For ICT Professionals (Systems and Principles) (QCF) K3a 600/6124/8 City & Guilds (120 credits needed)

Competency

C1 - Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals C1b 501/1292/2 Pearson Edexcel (80 credits needed)

Programme Plans

You will attend the academy for 23 weeks, on alternative weeks which will total 46 weeks. Below you will see the programme plan which defines the unit that will be covered on each week. You will also see that the weeks in between academy attendance are blank. During this time you should be working on the competency element of your qualification.
 
There are a number of L4 cohorts currently running across numerous academies within 3AAA. Please choose your cohort from the choices below to view your programme plan. If you are not sure which cohort you are in, please contact either the trainer or the academy manager.
